Its municipal boundary runs from the Guadalmina coast up to nearly 1,500 metres of mountain, encompassing twelve golf courses, the gated estate of La Zagaleta, the resorts of Los Arqueros and El Madroñal, and a village centre celebrated for restaurants since the 1970s.

  • The pueblo itself is a maze of stepped lanes, geranium-draped balconies and over thirty restaurants, a density that earned it the nickname 'the dining-room of the Costa del Sol' decades ago. Sunday lunches still run long, often spilling onto the Plaza de España. From above, the Charco de las Mozas pools in the Guadalmina river draw locals on hot afternoons.
  • Beyond the village, Benahavís has become the address for buyers prioritising privacy, security and views over beachfront access.
